If you saw what I see everyday, and if you had the answer, it would inspire you to do something too.

There are literally millions of families across America who are losing their homes to foreclosure. AND THEY DON’T DESERVE IT.

These folks are are ambitious, dedicated, hard working people. They have families to support. They are good people. Many are pillars of their community. In Florida here where I live, as many as 1 in 5 families are facing foreclosure. Take a walk around your block. Every 5th house, every 5th neighbor of yours, is upside down on their property, where they owe more on their property than the house is worth.

We can all point the blame, but I’ve discovered it’s easier and more productive to focus on the solution.

What’s the solution?

The first thing is to help families avoid foreclosure. That’s the first thing.

How do you do that? It’s simple. You must sell the property before the bank repossesses.

The challenge is that the house won’t sell for more than what’s owed and that leaves the seller owing thousands, ten of thousands usually, on a property.

That’s why we work with the bank to write down the mortgage to what the house is really worth. To discount the mortgage. It’s called a short sale.

Many people don’t know about short sales, even fewer know how to do them to effect the intended outsome–having the seller walk away with their property sold, without a foreclosure on their credit record and without owing anything else on the property.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, with their dignity, pride and reputation intact.

I know how much this means to a homeowner–I went through a foreclosure myself 13 years ago and I vowed to turn that adveristy into something positive.

I have succeeded beyond my wildest expectations. In the last 13 years, my students, my team and my partners have saved over ONE MILLION FAMILIES from foreclosure.

How? By doing short sales.

Doing a short sale is the first step to helping a homeowner get their life and family back on track. I have personally done over 400 of them. Thousands more with my partners, students and team.

This year, I am on a Crusade to Save America–along with my students, partners, and team, we want to save ONE MILLION FAMILIES from foreclosure in the next 12 months. I’ll be visiting 22 cities across the country and providing FREE training on how to short sales THE RIGHT WAY–no one will pay a dime for the training. This training which in years past people have paid me as much as $10,000. In addition, in each city along the way, my team and I will be providing training and direction to people facing foreclosure as well.

No one really knows the effect a foreclosure has on the economy, but I can tell you this:

There have been studies done and they say that just one foreclosure costs the local economy $52,000. That’s an incredible number if you think about it. When we reach our goal, we will have helped America by over $52,000,000!

Bottom line, what we are doing is making a huge difference. For the individual families, for the community and for the country.

Even President Obama and his administration has embraced short sales as one of the primary pillars of his overall financial strategy to get America out of the reccession we are in.

To be candid, the President, the administration, the government, they have their strategy–and I have mine.
